Preconstruction Manager

The Search Group require a Preconstruction Manager for works around Surrey and London. Our client are a leading tier 1 contractor and this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced preconstruction manager to further enhance their career with a leading construction firm.

Position: Preconstruction Manager

Location: Reigate, Surrey and Surrounding Areas

Salary: £80 - £100,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

Ensure Accuracy of Estimates: Take charge of the accuracy of estimates by meticulously reviewing drawings, specifications, and other project documents to identify construction-related challenges and potential risks.

Collaborate with Project Team: Work closely with the project team, communicating any construction-related issues or risks identified during the preconstruction phase, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware and prepared.

Construction Schedule Preparation: Participate actively in developing the construction schedule, determining resourcing requirements, and coordinating plant and logistics to streamline project execution.

Estimate Preparation: Lead the preparation of preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction estimates throughout the preconstruction phase, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.

Cost Trends Monitoring: Keep a vigilant eye on design development cost trends to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring projects stay within budgetary constraints.

Value Engineering: Actively participate in the value engineering process, offering insights and recommendations to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Support Business Development: Assist in business development efforts by contributing to proposal presentations, leveraging your expertise to showcase our capabilities and secure new opportunities.
