We are the internal recruitment partner for The Peterborough School, (thepeterboroughschool.co.uk) a well-established and highly successful Independent Day School situated in a beautiful setting close to the city centre.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Pre-School Room Leader to join the "Outstanding" Nursery. You will join a collaborative and supportive team who encourage new ideas and champions ongoing learning and professional growth.

As the Room Leader, you will provide professional leadership and guidance to your team, coordinate all aspects of your designated room, ensuring that sessions run smoothly, and the children are receiving the best possible care within a safe and stimulating environment.

You will create a nurturing, engaging and safe environment, develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum, and build and maintain relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will provide the highest level of care, ensuring the individual needs and safety of the children are identified and met, whilst maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere.

You will have proven experience of working within an early years setting, strong leadership skills, and a passion for providing excellent childcare.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Ofsted, EYFS and Welfare requirements.
  • Ability to create an engaging and stimulating environment.
  • Ability to form and maintain relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a positive and motivating environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Additional completed training courses are desirable.
  • Good IT skills.

  • A salary of £27,352 - £28,600 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Working Hours: 40 hours across Monday-Friday (Shifts include: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 08:00-18:00 with half day off).
