We are a growing national construction company supplying specialist services to the water industry, the Environment Agency, and a broad range of private clients, holding more than 29 Framework agreements nationally. What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager and liaising closely with internal and external stakeholders, the Pre-Contract Management will be responsible for all pre-construction contractual work, enabling the Estimating and Project Management Teams to mitigate risk, maximise opportunity, and drive client satisfaction.

  • Work on Water, Wastewater, and Environment Agency Frameworks for design and build and build only projects between the values of £250k and £5m.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring regular and transparent communication with clients throughout the pre-construction phase whilst building and maintaining good relationships with the customer, subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants.
  • Take an active role in developing new opportunities within the Framework and take?the lead in project bids to ensure the Estimating Team has sufficient information to price the work and identify significant risks.
  • Develop the clients' requirements into a detailed scope with a sufficient level of detail to allow a competitive bid to be made for the project, identifying opportunities, cost savings and value engineering wherever possible.
  • Visit sites and prepare / complete site information ready for the tendering process, including measuring up as required.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any potential issues that may arise during the construction phase.
  • Work closely with designers, including subcontractors, to develop comprehensive engineering designs aligned with the project scope and requirements.
  • Ensure that engineering solutions are buildable and cost-effective whilst meeting the client requirements and technical standards.
  • Co-ordinate temporary works designs/designers and ensure the most appropriate plant and equipment is selected for the project to ensure efficient safe delivery.
  • Develop NEC compliant construction programmes for bids.

Who we're looking for

  • Demonstrable excellent working knowledge of NEC 3/4 ECC and ECSC contracts.
  • Proven and extensive experience in Civil Engineering Project Management
  • Hold, at minimum an HND in Civil Engineering with the ability to attain IEng or CEng.
  • Evidently highly proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Proven customer service experience with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Full UK driving license.
