Practice Nurse in Coventry

Salary: Band 5 / 6, £20 - £25 per hour
Hours: Part-time or full-time, flexible
Contract: Rolling 3 months

Job Summary:

• Responsible for delivering safe and effective patient care.
• Contribute to developing nursing services, working independently.
• Administer child and adult immunisations, vaccinations, and Smear testing services.
• Support, implement, and evaluate local standards and care pathways.

Description:

• Independently manage clinical workload, ensuring patient choice and access to services.
• Mentor and support staff in clinical skills development.
• Utilise referral pathways as needed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment programs promoting health and well-being.
• Conduct regular medication reviews and provide travel health advice.
• Perform various procedures including venepuncture, wound management, and cryosurgery.
• Promote health education on diet, contraception, chronic disease management, etc.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified NMC registered Nurse with experience as a Practice Nurse.
• Up-to-date compliance documentation required for long-term locum contracting.
