I am seeking a Practice Accountant to join an established accountancy practice based in Warrington on a part time basis.

This part time, office-based role offers a salary of £45k to £50k (pro rata), with working hours to be discussed due to it being part time.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of the business embracing the company’s mission to become the Trusted Adviser to their clients.

Duties:

  • Work on client migration projects to online accounting platforms, such as Xero.
  • Prepare management and financial accounts, as well as personal and corporation tax returns.
  • Supervise and manage a small team, ensuring high technical standards and attention to detail.
  • Adopt a problem-solving approach and deliver on promises.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including conducting monthly meetings to assist with management accounts and Xero implementation.
  • Provide responsive and high-quality service to meet client needs.

Required Skills:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification is ideal but not essential.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice, particularly with migrating clients to online accounting platforms like Xero.
  • Proven ability to prepare financial statements and tax returns.
  • Supervisory or management experience within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Professional, supportive, nurturing, and friendly demeanour with colleagues and clients.
