Portfolio Manager - London

up to £80,000 for basic

Overview:

A well-known investment firm is looking for portfolio manager, working alongside investment managers to focus on working with clients to help them invest responsibly in a way that is aligned with their investment goals.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality, professional fund management services and advice to investment managers for private client, charities etc.
  • Liaise closely with the team's investment managers and other fund managers/stakeholders across the business.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory, operational and administrative procedures.
  • Contribute to investment decision-making.
  • Construct portfolios using a range of asset classes to meet investment objectives.
  • Implement timely and appropriate changes to investment portfolios.

Key requirements:

  • Qualification: CFA or L7 CISI, knowledge in ESG investing.
  • Programming/coding skills would be advantageous.
  • Experience in key asset classes (fixed income, equity) as well as pooled funds and market conventions e.g. liquidity, lot sizes, market opening.
  • Understanding of Bloomberg and portfolio trading/fund accounting systems.
  • An understanding of portfolio construction theory.
  • Flexible attitude to work in response to changing workloads and deadlines within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to interact effectively with team members, clients and client relationship managers.
