Our client is a fast-moving Garden centre offering a fantastic variety and diverse range of excellent quality plants and Horticultural products. The Plantarea Manager will work for the Garden centre Manager helping to develop the team, strive to cater for every gardening requirement and pride themselves on their customer service as well as the ability to make a visit to the centre a pleasurable experience.

Our client is looking for an exceptional candidate with previous experience in a similar environment and role.

As the Plantarea Manager, you will deliver an exceptional service to customers, ensuring the quality of the plants are presented to a high standard.

In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will focus on all areas of plant care/sales. This position would suit those who have already gained some experience in garden centre retailing with good plant and product knowledge.

You will be enthusiastic and keen to deliver high standards of plant retailing, will have a flexible and adaptable approach and be a good team player.

Key Responsibilities and Task

• Working with the Garden Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.
• Presentation and displays of a vast range of exciting plants - Creating an inspirational environment that is well maintained.
• Good housekeeping standards across the department with accurate stock control
• Delivering excellent customer sales and service
• Working as part of a highly successful and efficient team
• Working proactively, enthusiastically and with drive to succeed.
• Checking and receiving deliveries of the finest products following the required procedure.
• Ordering stock from suppliers and maintaining production, continuously looking at new and fresh ideas for selling products.
• Pricing, displaying, and merchandising of products to the required standards and implementing promotional changeovers.
• Develop, motivate, and lead the team as well as monitoring their performance and ongoing training.
