Plant Manager with a strong engineering background and experience in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery is required for a well-established company based in Bedworth, Coventry, West Midlands.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Plant Managerwith a strong engineering background and experience in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery.

Working as the Plant Manageryou will join a well-established company, specialising in hiring a comprehensive range of plant machinery to water and civil engineering companies across the UK & Ireland.

As the Plant Manager you will oversee all the operational activities of the plant, as well as developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Plant Managerwillinclude:

• Ensure equipment capability is maintained including administration for calibration records including booking calibration and plant examinations

• Act as first point of contact for all internal and external hire requests from planning, lead miners and contracts managers

• Producing weekly on-hire reports for internal and external hires

• Placing orders and keeping internal hire records up to date

• Continuously improve the quality of products to meet the set standards and customers’ requirements

• Accountability for the safety, leadership, and financial performance of the operation of all plant

• Lead in all aspects of safety to ensure the safe operation of the yard

• Oversee all the operational activities of the plant

• Controlling expenditure and managing budgets

• Preparing production and performance reports for senior management

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for the plant

• Maintaining all administrative records

• Maintaining inventory levels and controlling the flow of product

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Strong engineering background

• Strong background in the management and maintenance of heavy plant machinery

• Knowledge of Verizon system ideal

• Good IT skills

• Experience operating in a similar role at a similar level

• Ability to communicate and influence confidently across different departments

• Results driven, capable of prioritising, and strong management skills
