Planning Manager
I am working with a local council who are going through an exciting period of change and growth within their housing, planning and regeneration sector.
They are searching for a new Planning Manager to join the team and support the councils new objectives and support with the development in housing and regeneration in the local area.
Responsibilities:
- The management of all development management and enforcement planning work - including the provision of advice and guidance in line with the councils policies and procedures.
- To ensure the effective delivery of all development management and enforcement services - pre application advise, planning application, appeal process and submitted reports to the Management Committee
- Responsible for Service Plans, Budgets and monitoring that you are within the agreed costings
- The go to person for advise on all planning matters
- Responsible for managing and representing the council at external meetings (briefings, tribunals, public inquiries)
- To commission, guide and undertake analysis and interpretation of data, policy and law
- Ensure planning services consistently comply with relevant legislation
- Consistent decision making to enable the effective implementation of the local plan
- Provide clear advise to internal and external stakeholders
Your Experience:
- Looking for your next step within Planning - it is essential to have a background in planning from either a local authority or a private sector
- Excellent project management, planning, and delivery skills whilst ensuring you are working to a tight deadline
Hybrid opportunity - 2/3 days in the office
