Title: Planning Manager | Senior Planner

Location: Cambridge

My client is a regionally focused land promotion company based near Cambridge. They are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, commercially minded, and experienced Senior Planner / Planning Manager to work client side and help drive the growth and continued success of the team.

Position Overview:

This is a wide-ranging role for an ambitious individual with experience in working with Local Plan frameworks, project management and the ability to manage, coordinate and motivate consultant teams. Whilst we have a strong team ethic you will be a self-starter capable of working on your own initiative with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Steering the existing portfolio through the development plan review and development management processes, including conditions discharge.
  • Active participation in strategy discussions, exploring potential options to add value to the portfolio.
  • The appointment and co-ordination of external professional teams to deliver planning permission.
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets, costs and delivery programmes.
  • Reporting to landowner partners.
  • Evaluating the potential of new sites for residential and commercial development and researching new land opportunities

Qualifications

  • MRTPI or MRICS
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in planning (or 5 years' post Chartered status)
  • Strong knowledge of Local Plans, UK planning legislation, regulations, and policies.
