PIPE WELDERS REQUIRED - BIRKENHEAD - £21.27PH

Working for a global business with a focus on the Nuclear industry, preferably certified in Pipe Welding with experience in Duct Work.

Also, advantageous to have experience in HVAC and Ventilation.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am-4.00pm / Friday 7.00am-1.00pm

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Understands the basic Company Protocols with regard to accidents and Incident’s investigations
  • Uncompromising approach to the implementation of safe systems of work
  • Where possible, adopts an innovative approach to enhancing safe systems of work Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents
  • Understanding of manufacturing tolerances
  • Understands and implements the requirements of Inspection and Test Plans Encourages ownership within the team and fosters a culture of Right First Time Previous experience welding Sheet / Duct is essential
  • Full fabrication of bespoke high integrity Ductwork components manufactured from Stainless and Mild Steel sheet thickness 2 to 3mm thick
  • Welding of QC1 Stainless steel and mild steel Ductwork
  • Welding operations qualified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017

The following qualities/experience are desirable:

  • Solution orientated individual, with ability to analyse risks and benefits of options to resolve identified issues.
  • Proven experience of working to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • Capable of taking ownership of the works or a section of the works from start to finish, including the handover of the works
