Medacs Healthcare is proud to be playing an integral part in delivering a new Functional Assessment Services contract on behalf of the UK Department for Work and Pensions. The contract will involve the delivery of more than 3.5 million health and disability assessments nationally over a period of 5 years.

Following several years of successfully supporting the previous Health Assessment Advisory Service, Medacs is now expanding service in our existing North England focus region supporting the regional prime provider of the new service.

Medacs Healthcare now has a new opportunity for a Clinical Support Lead to guide a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring a quality professional service to standards of service delivery and performance indicators consistent with contract needs. Also, to ensure professional standards are maintained in all medical work through recruitment, training, and audit.

You will be working in a hybrid flexible manner incorporating working from our Bradford offices with travel where the needs of the business dictate for site visits and training.

Here's some of the key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the commercial relationship between the Client and Health Assessment Services
  • Liaise with the Management Team to recruit and retain employed healthcare professionals
  • Attend meetings agreed by Clinical Delivery Manager
  • Ensure that the appropriate skills base is in place for effective service delivery
  • Organise and provide training for Health Practitioners
  • Ensure an effective audit-feedback cycle is in place
  • Have an overview and to provide investigative support for complaints, feedback and actions plans
  • Responsible for action on customer survey outcomes
  • Provide support and leadership in the delivery of change programmes and proactively leading the team through the change process
  • Ensure that clinical governance and standards required by all appropriate professional regulatory bodies are maintained
  • Provide medical advice and carry out assessments in line with service requirements (as an approved disability analyst)
  • Work with the management team to ensure compliance with all clinical KPI requirements in line with any contractual requirements
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing HP support plans
  • Conduct regular PIP training courses with new entrants
  • Lead, coach and manage employees and undertake regular individual and team meetings
  • Recruit and select best talent
  • Work in a flexible manner, incorporating remote working, working from Medacs sites and travel out of area where the needs of the business dictate

HP qualified with a proven track record of PIP mentorship, approval with the DWP and experience of managing a team.
