Our client, a small independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Milton Keynes area, are looking for a Personal Tax Semi-Senior / Senior o join their established team. Ideally you will be a personal tax specialist and be part or fully ATT/CTA qualified already, however, someone part or fully ACA/ACCA qualified, but with some personal tax experience and a strong desire to specialse in this area, would also very much be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic firm who are offering a clear pathway for progression so there is opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth and success of the firm. The role is ideally full time, however for the right person they will also consider 4 days per week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the tax team to deliver high-quality tax services to their clients
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow their client base
  • Providing tax advice and guidance to clients on a range of issues
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring their clients are compliant with relevant tax laws
  • Working closely with other teams within the firm to provide a seamless service to their clients
  • Contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the firm

The ideal candidate?

  • ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified or part qualified
  • Significant experience within personal tax compliance within a similar practice environment, with a strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws, or some experience in personal tax and a strong desire to specialise in this area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
