Personal Tax Manager

Your new firm
A well known and established general practice in Wigan, your new firm is a leading accountancy firm with a good reputation across the North West and wider UK. Providing a range of general practice services including audit, business advisory, tax advisory/compliance, corporate finance and other supporting accountancy services. A strong partnership leading the practice with over 60 staff based in their Wigan-based office. They are now looking to bring in a qualified tax professional to lead their personal tax portfolio.
Your new role
You will join the firm as a Personal Tax Manager with your main responsibility to manage a diverse and complex portfolio of personal tax compliance clients. You will handle a large portfolio of HNWIs, Directors, Sporting professionals and Entrepreneurs managing a range of compliance needs. You will be at the heart of the tax team reporting, to two strong and knowledge tax directors. You will be tasked with reviewing personal tax returns whilst also handling the preparation and submission of more complex returns and handling annual compliance matters such as ERS, ATED and P11Ds. As well as managing the personal tax compliance portfolio, you will also assist in the delivery of specific tax projects, and help the tax leadership with the overall running of the tax department.

What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong personal tax background and either be ACCA/ACA or CTA qualified. You need to be confident in managing a range of complex personal tax compliance needs and comfortable managing a range of different clients. You need to have UK-based tax experience and have worked for an top 100 or strong regional accountancy firm.

What you\'ll get in return
In return for this role you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £45,000 - £60,000, depending on your level of experience. As well as a competitive salary, you will receive 25 days\' holiday (plus bank), a discretionary bonus scheme and flexible working arrangements.
