Personal Secretary

  • Temporary role for 6 months
  • Based in Brighton with some cover required in Worthing
  • Band 5
  • Hours 37.5 per week, will also consider the role on a part-time basis minimum 30 hours per week
  • Hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (if full-time)
  • Pay rate £13.84 to £16.84 (DOE)

About the Personal Secertary role-

We are ideally seeking a Personal Secretary who has worked with clinical terminology previously, if you have worked for the NHS this would be desirable.

The role is working within the corporate department, supporting Deputy Chief Medical officers.

After training the role could be considered for hybrid working 1-2 days per week.

Duties for the Personal Secretary role will include:-

  • Complex Diary Management for 4 Chief Medical Officers
  • Providing comprehensive support with admin duties
  • Typing, attending meetings and taking minutes.
  • Answering emails, liaising on the phone with other secretaries/clinical staff and external partners.
  • You must have previous experience as a PA/Secretary or Executive Assistant to apply for this role.
  • You will be extremely organised
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Good with multi-tasking
  • An excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Stays calm under pressure
  • Polite manner with lots of empathy

Skills required for the Personal Secretary role-

If you have audio/copy typing skills this is desirable for the position

Essential -

  • Diary management
  • Taking minutes
  • Good with IT/picking up new systems
  • Must be highly proficient with MS office- all applications

Desirable- worked on NHS systems previously

Education:-

Degree level would be desirable although not essential

Must have GCSE in Math & English

Business administration desirable
