Main Areas of Responsibility

The main responsibilities of your role will be:

  • To deliver the Music in Secondary Schools Trust instrumental programme with KS3 Violins (max 15 students at a time)
  • To deliver small group and 1-2-1 tuition on Violin
  • To deliver a small number of cello and Double Bass group lessons
  • To prepare students for Trinity Graded exams and GCSE Performance Exams
  • To lead smaller enrichment ensembles and support the larger ensembles
  • To support with performances, in and outside of the Academy
  • To monitor and audit the condition and allocation of instruments
What We are Looking For

We are looking to recruit an experienced, talented, energetic, reliable and inspiring individual to be part of the peripatetic music team. Candidates need to be able to perform confidently to a high level on their first instrument and be able to teach other string instruments to around Grade 3 standard.

You would be required on a Thursday 8.30-4.30 and Friday 8.00-3.30. This will be paid at £30 per hour.
