Position: Perioperative Practitioner - Scrub (Orthopaedics)

Location: Bristol

Type: Full Time, No Nights

Join a dynamic team with one of well-known clients as a Perioperative Practitioner specialising in Orthopaedic Scrub. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a supportive and progressive environment in the only private hospital in the South West with an Intensive Care Unit.

About the client:

Our client holds 76 beds and 5 state-of-the-art operating theatres, has been a leading healthcare provider for over 32 years. The hospital is renowned for delivering exceptional care and expertise, making it an ideal workplace for professionals seeking a diverse and challenging environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse or ODP with Orthopaedic Scrub experience, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our busy theatre department. Minor orthopaedics experience is essential, and major orthopaedic training is available for those eager to expand their skills. The role involves working across scrub, anaesthetics, and/or recovery, with an emphasis on multi-skilled capabilities. The theatre team handles a variety of surgical procedures, providing an ever-changing and exciting work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NMC/HCPC registration without restrictions or conditions
  • Experience in minor orthopaedics; training available for major orthopaedics
  • Compassionate and dedicated to delivering excellent patient care
  • Strong communication skills
  • Assisting qualification; teaching qualification desirable
  • Competency in Total Hip and Total Knee replacements surgeries
Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, covering 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis between 8-8, with weekend duties on a 1:3 rotation.
