Salary £45,000 -£48,000 pro rata dependant on experience plus great benefits
Hybrid working available

My client is a well-established, non-profitable organisation based in the Essex area. They currently have an exciting opportunity to join them in the position of People and Culture Partner. (HR)

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, the People and Culture Partner will join the Hospice and support the delivery of the People Strategy to create a great place to work during an exciting period of growth. In this exciting role, you will act as a People business partner to the charity retail business and be involved in creating the People Plan for this area, ensuring a diverse and well supported workforce, of both employees and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Retail directorate amongst others, to advise Directors, Service leads and line managers within designated business areas on all HR matters in accordance with policies, procedures, best practice, and legislation.
  • To make a proactive contribution to resourcing, service development, business planning and the management of performance against agreed objectives for designated areas.
  • To support and coach management teams in improving their leadership and management competencies and to manage own HR caseload as agreed and determined with the Director of People and Culture ensuring all deadlines and professional standards are met.

Experience and Skills required:

  • Degree or demonstrable significant equivalent level of experience within HR/People
  • CIPD Qualified
  • Good knowledge HR systems and processes
  • Experience of complex HR case work including complex grievances, redundancy and investigations.
  • People/HR background within a Hospice / NHS / Retail or Charity environment would be advantageous.
