PE Teacher
  • Location: Guildford
  • Job Type: Part-time (Mondays and Tuesdays, long-term)
  • Salary Range: £130 - £180 per day

We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher to join our SEMH school in Guildford. This part-time role involves covering Year 11 PE theory lessons, with a focus on delivering high-quality education to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a passion for physical education and student wellbeing.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Deliver engaging PE theory lessons to Year 11 students, ensuring that all learning objectives are met.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students with SEMH.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to encourage academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and positive behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in teaching PE theory at the secondary level.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and the ability to cater to these needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
