PE TeacherWarrington Job type: Day to day, short term or long termStart date: ASAPWe are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher of PE to support day to day, short term of long term cover in Warrington on a supply basis, as soon as possible.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for an inspirational PE teacher to join a dynamic, high-achieving department. We are looking for someone who has the desire and ability to inspire a love of Physical Education and achieve excellent outcomes for students.

The department has a strong emphasis on joint planning strategies to deliver an exciting curriculum. We a have school-wide focus as outlined in our curriculum strategy, that through rigorous academic subject teaching, knowledge acquisition is taught and learnt through application. Strong subject knowledge is essential for this role. We have written our curriculum with a strong focus on substantive and disciplinary knowledge for all year groups. Assessment is cumulative in its design and closely linked to what has been taught

You will contribute significantly to the teaching of PE across all key stages. They offer a broad curriculum that enables students to experience a variety of different sports and the department organises an annual sports day.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS, QTLS or equivalent
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however, training can be provided)
  • Up to date Prevent Awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training can be provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
