Job Advert: Sport Graduate

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Salary: £90-£120 per day

Contract: Monday to Friday, 08:15-15:30

We are seeking a dynamic Sport Graduate to join our team at Veritas Education supporting Secondary Schools across Barnsley. As a Sport Graduate, you will play a pivotal role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and personal development among our students.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging sports sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities.
• Assisting in the planning and organization of sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities.
• Providing support to classroom teachers in integrating physical activity into the curriculum.
• Acting as a positive role model for students, promoting sportsmanship, respect, and fair play.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sports programs and initiatives.
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to enhance the overall school sports experience.

Requirements:

• A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
• Passion for working with children and young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience in coaching or leading sports activities (desired but not essential).
• Willingness to undergo relevant safeguarding checks.
