The Payroll Officer is a critical role within the accounting and finance team of our FMCG client. The successful candidate will ensure accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry for payroll processing.

Our client is a leading player in the FMCG industry with a significant presence in the UK. With a large-scale operation based in Highbridge, they employ over 1,000 individuals and are known for their commitment to quality and innovation.

Description

  • Perform daily payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • Strong knowledge of payroll system
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks
