We are seeking a meticulous and committed Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance team within the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will ensure efficient processing of payroll operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Payroll Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;

  • Accurate processing of company payroll in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries regarding payroll issues.
  • Generating and submitting payroll reports for review to the Finance department.
  • Coordinating with HR for any changes affecting payroll.
  • Maintaining accurate records for auditing purposes.
  • Continuously updating knowledge on payroll software systems.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Public Sector and Government background - NHS Desirable.
  • Relevant educational qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes and employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to commute to Ashton-Under-Lyne .
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member within the Accounting & Finance department.
