Description

The key responsibilities of an Payroll Officerwill include, but may not be limited to;

• Accurately process payroll in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with all payroll related regulations
• Manage and resolve any payroll-related queries
• Maintain up-to-date employee records
• Prepare reports detailing payroll expenses
• Coordinate with HR for any changes affecting payroll
• Assist in the preparation of year-end reports and audit
• Identify areas for improvement in the payroll process and recommend solutions

Profile

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

• An educational background in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in a payroll officer role, preferably within the Not For Profit and Charities sector - education desirable
• Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of payroll legislation and regulations
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Ability to commute to Stoke-on-Trent
