PAYROLL MANAGER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: 09.00 - 17.00

£40,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are working with one of the most influential and leading manufacturing companies in their industry.

Actively recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join their team and manage the payroll function for their busy manufacturing site of 300+ staff.

Day to Day Duties

As a Payroll Manager your duties will include:

  • This is a far-reaching role covering all aspects of payroll
  • Entering new starters and processing leavers onto the IFS system
  • Manage the payroll and time and attendance system (Astrow).
  • Monitor temporary contracts and liaise with managers on employment extensions.
  • Managing holiday allocation and request process.
  • Provide written notification to employees of any changes in pay, benefits, or relevant changes due to legislation.
  • Assist in the administration of benefits schemes such as the pension, healthcare, other insurances, etc.
  • Monitoring the company is in compliance with changes in legislation and best practice, and keep all payroll policies and procedures up-to-date

Essential Skills

As a Payroll Manager it is essential that you:

  • A nationally recognised payroll qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll experience
  • Used to working in a fact paced environment within a growing company
  • Experience of being solely responsible for full end to end in-house payroll
  • Experience of Multi-Site Payroll
  • Experience of Payroll and T&A implementation and integration
  • Experience of T&A systems
  • Experience of complex pay elements and allowances i.e. shift allowances
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Mathematical aptitude and numerical skills
  • Confidentiality and reliability
  • Good time management and very organised
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to pick up a new payroll system with ease, and train others in the use of the system
  • Ability to maintain absolute discretion and maturity in handling sensitive/confidential data

Desirable Experience

It would be desirable as a Payroll Manager if you:-

  • Experience of administering payroll for international employees
  • Experience of IFS Payroll and Astrow T & A System
  • Experience of working within a busy HR department
