SF Recruitment are working with a growing business in South Derby to recruit for a Payroll Manager. This role offers flexible working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, with some flexible working hours. Overseeing a small team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the payroll.

-Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
-Supervise a team of four payroll professionals, providing guidance, support, development and performance management as needed.
-Oversee the administration of workplace pension schemes, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment requirements and managing relationships with pension providers.
-Manage the company's defined benefit pension schemes, including calculations, payments, and liaising with trustees and actuaries.
-Coordinate the renewal process for private medical and life assurance benefits, negotiating with providers to ensure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage.
-Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll and benefits-related queries and discrepancies.
-Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation, pension regulations, and benefit trends, ensuring compliance and implementing best practices.
-Process monthly payroll runs accurately and on time, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory payments.
-Review and approve payroll reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
-Manage the submission of payroll-related statutory returns, such as PAYE, NI, and pension contributions.
