Search Finance and Accounting have partnered with a large organisation in Birmingham within the services industry to appoint a new Payroll Manager.

This exciting new opportunity will attract a driven, passionate, and knowledgeable person who is looking for a new challenge in a new company and develop their career within payroll.

Your Profile

My client is looking for strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team and interact with senior stakeholders. You will have proven track record of implementing process improvements as well as wanting to further develop your skills.

  • Excellent technical expertise in payroll. Pension knowledge would be an advantageous.
  • Up to date knowledge of UK payroll, tax and employment law (as relevant) and best practice approaches in these areas.
  • Proven capabilities as a people manager, with a flexible and inclusive management style.
  • Highly proficient IT skills, including the MS Office. You should be confident and able to quickly learn new IT skills and software packages as required.

The Role

  • Provide direction and support to the Head of Payroll to ensure full oversight of team deliverables and performance.
  • Identify process improvements and efficiency supporting system development, as required and lead on their implementation.
  • Lead and develop the existing payroll team, heighten their skills and identify area's where improvement is required.

Salary

Salary is £45,000 to £50,000 with excellent company benefits, including holidays and hybrid working.
