Job Purpose
  • Autonomously manage a payroll portfolio of various sizes and within a broad range of business sectors.
  • Statutory claims, pensions, RTI, leave calculations.
  • Troubleshooting and solving complex queries.
  • Work closely with Managers to oversee workflow and ensure deadlines and budgets are being met.
  • Manage and support the junior payroll team.
  • Champion service excellence throughout all communications and deliverables.
  • Build strong rapport with clients as their trusted go-to contact, proactively handling queries.
  • Deliver a strong technical skillset and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Drive your own professional development, keeping up-to-date with industry news and regulations, and undertaking training opportunities.

Job Requirements
  • Previous experience within UK payroll bureau or practice.
  • Previous supervisory experience with great people management skills.
  • Good time management and a positive, can-do attitude when working under pressure.
  • A commercial mindset and enthusiasm to support business growth.
  • Committed to delivering the highest quality service.
  • A team player who is eager to support the wider team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
