We are urgently seeking a strong Payroll Manager to join a leading retail business to head up their payroll team.

As Payroll Manager you’ll be responsible for:
  • Managing the payroll process for 1,300+ employees.
  • Ensuring accuracy in elements such as regular pay, overtime, bonuses, etc.
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns (P60s and P11Ds), ensuring accuracy to avoid penalties.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of payroll staff, and provide training.
  • Coordinate workload distribution and enforce deadlines to meet operational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, offering feedback to enhance team performance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Previous experience with high volume payrolls - 1000+
  • Experience with Managing a Payroll Team.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Strong systems skills including Excel, including pivot tables, and VLookups.
