This position requires a proficient Payroll and Pensions Manager who can efficiently manage payroll and pension processes within a public sector environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions related to payroll and pensions are conducted in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.

Description

The Payroll and Pensions Manager will;

  • Oversee the payroll and pension systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Manage any payroll and pension queries, providing efficient and precise resolutions.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Work closely with the Accounting & Finance team to streamline financial processes.
  • Provide training and support to team members on payroll and pensions procedures.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborate with HR to align payroll and pension processes with other HR activities.
  • Keep abreast of any changes in payroll and pension legislation, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.

Profile

A successful Payroll and Pensions Manager should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Significant experience of working with the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and pensions systems and procedures.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the Accounting & Finance department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with payroll and pensions software.

Job Offer

  • An estimated hourly rate of between GBP 28 and GBP 32
