Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working with an award-winning London university to support their search for an Interim Payroll and Pensions Manager for a period of 6 months on a fixed term basis, with the potential to extend.

The Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Payroll & Pensions Manager to join the team and drive efficiencies across the Pensions and Payroll processes. Utilising their data skills and systems fluency, the successful candidate will embed themselves within the HR and Finance teams to identify process improvements and review compliances to maximum efficiency. With a client-service focus, the Payroll and Pensions Manager shall also resolve any troubleshooting queries and present updates across the business.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing end-to-end Pensions and Payroll Process
- Administering Pension schemes and reconciliations
- Reviewing compliance and updating procedures
- Identifying and implementing efficiencies across Payroll systems
- Managing statutory returns
- Partnering across the business and resolving troubleshooting queries
What we need to see (essential):
- Experience in the Higher Education or Public Sector
- Expertise on complex HRIS and Payroll Systems
- Experience with education-specific pensions (e.g. USS, TPS, LGPS, Royal London Defined Benefit Scheme)
- Fantastic collaboration and communication skills
What we need to see (bonus):
- Proficiency in Midland i-trent and Aggresso
Salary: £60,000-£70,000
Location: London (Hybrid)
