Role: Payroll and Pensions Officer

Industry: Transport

Salary: £36,000

Location: Aylesbury (Hybrid: 3 days P/W in the office)

Cedar are excited to be partnering with a national transport business in their search for a Payroll and Pensions Officer. This role will play an integral role in the wider payroll team, managing a team of two.

This role would suit someone who is good with manual calculations with sharp attention to detail.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the Payroll Assistants
  • Deputising for the Payroll Manager
  • Providing support to the business on payroll issues
  • Producing Management reports
  • Completion/issue of P60s, P11Ds
  • Completing month end submissions for each pension scheme and resolving queries
  • Managing all pension related queries
  • Responsible for ONS submissions
  • Completion of PRP checks (Primary) - All
  • Report writing in Business Objects
  • Managing Salary sacrifice schemes (Cycle to work and Holiday Purchase)
  • Monitor and resolve any integration failures to the Pension systems
  • Complete guidance notes and process notes for tasks on the Pension Portal

Requirements:

  • Experience of Pension administration
  • Good working knowledge of Payroll Systems
  • 3+ years working in Payroll
  • Balance sheet experience
  • Coaching and development of others
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Good Communication skills
