Nigel Wright are proud to be working with a large Accountancy group who have over 100 independent, business advisory and accountancy practices across the UK.  Their collective mission is to provide locally forged, trusted business advice to SME's through forward thinking, close-knit relationships.

About the Role
This established accountancy firm is looking to hire an experienced Payroll Clerk where you will play a crucial role in their payroll team, responsible for processing end-to-end payrolls and ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Manage entire payroll process from start to finish, including RTI filing, pension uploads, and generating reports for payments and third party entities.
  • Stay up to date with company policies and tax legislation
  • Prepare month-end journals and reports as needed posting for audit purposes, contributing to the overall financial health of the business
  • Deal with payroll queries
  • Responsible for the maintenance of employee data
  • Maintain records for robust document control. 

Experience Required
  • Experience in Payroll - Ideally within and Accountancy Practice
  • Familiarity with Sage 50
  • Knowledge of HMRC legislation and pension auto enrolment
  • Can work effectively across multiple clients who run both weekly and monthly payroll.
