Pertemps Burton have a fantastic new opportunity to join a successful ever-growing business based in Burton Upon Trent on a full-time permanent basis. We are looking for an experienced dynamic Payroll Administrator to join a small payroll team.

With a fantastic salary of £28,000 - £35,000 depending on level of experience.

Hours – Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm with an early finish on a Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm  

The is a flexible hybrid role but are required to be in the office on main payroll days which is around 6 days per month.

The main duties of the role include:

What you’ll do:
  • Complete the payroll lifecycle, to include payroll calculations, processing monthly payrolls, and management reporting.
  • Complete any payroll payments regarding salary sacrifice arrangements, pensions etc.
  • Produce payroll reports and resolve any payroll errors and exceptions.
  • Audit all data input by checking other team members payroll input against the prime documents.
  • Reconcile all payroll totals including, tax, student loans, National Insurance, and statutory payments for payroll each month and year-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with the payroll team and all stakeholders including HR and Finance and reply to all queries.

What you’ll bring:
  • Demonstrable experience as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Clerk, or equivalent payroll function.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to work under deadline and prioritise workload.
  • Previous experience paying a minimum of 450 employees across several payrolls.
  • CIPP is advantageous but not required.
