SThree is delighted to announce that we are currently accepting applications for a Payroll Accounting/Compliance Analyst for a 12-month contract.

This position presents an excellent opportunity to join our team in a senior capacity, working in a centralised global payroll function with circa 3,000 employees globally and an immediate team of 8 based in Glasgow. Additionally, it offers the potential for growth within an international company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance across all SThree Regions. They'll also be responsible for ensuring all effective controls are maintained with a focus on controls and governance. Additionally, post payroll accounting and finance deliverables and providing analysis and guidance. The role will also include supporting with the global payroll end to end processing and ensuring our global compliance is met.

What are the day-to-day tasks?

  • Support with global payroll processing as and when required
  • Support Team Lead with monthly review process
  • Keep our knowledge bases maintained & up-to-date
  • Ensure all reporting and payments to Tax authorities and Third party vendors are executed in a timely manner
  • Support with our month end process
  • Assist with out of cycle reporting
  • Control compliance including audit preparations
  • Have a focal point in all areas of Banking
  • Support the team with Internal and external audit management
  • Focus on legislative updates
  • Keep a pro-active approach to identifying impacts of new policy and legislation changes
  • Process Reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Take ownership for Balance sheet historical items
  • Oversee and support with Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support with banking processes
  • Participate in monthly calls with various stakeholders (for metrics etc.)
  • Support Payroll Analysts in the team

What skills and knowledge are we looking for?

  • Strong background in payroll / accounting
  • A good working knowledge of financial systems (with previous experience of SAP)
  • Working knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong background of end to end process review and controls design
  • Ability to adapt to various situations in order to achieve objectives
  • Identifying when to escalate issues to senior management for resolution / action
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain complex payroll matters clearly and concisely
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel,(VLOOKUPS, SUM IF, Pivot Tables) with an excellent standard of formatting

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 year's of relevant experience
  • CIPP Payroll qualification/Accounting qualification and or relevant experience
