Responsibilities:
- Drafting, prosecuting and managing patent applications related to Mechanical Engineering
- Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses
- Collaborating with inventors and stakeholders to understand technical innovations and facilitate the patent process
- Providing strategic advice on intellectual property matters to clients
Requirements:
- NQ-5 years’ PQE
- Technical specialisation in Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in areas such as fluid mechanics, electromechanical systems, robotics, control systems, materials engineering and manufacturing
- Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience working in a reputable IP firm
- Registration with the USPTO or equivalent patent office
