Responsibilities:

• Drafting, prosecuting and managing patent applications related to Mechanical Engineering
• Conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses
• Collaborating with inventors and stakeholders to understand technical innovations and facilitate the patent process
• Providing strategic advice on intellectual property matters to clients

Requirements:

• NQ-5 years’ PQE
• Technical specialisation in Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated expertise in areas such as fluid mechanics, electromechanical systems, robotics, control systems, materials engineering and manufacturing
• Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience working in a reputable IP firm
• Registration with the USPTO or equivalent patent office
