We are working with a global defence contractor, supporting them with building a team of PAT (Portable Appliance Test) Testers to work at a vast Government Site in Cheltenham.
 
For this role they are open to consider any candidate background who would be interested in being trained on PAT (Electrical Portable Appliance Testing) and is willing to undertake the development required.
 
The business will consider candidates straight out of college with some electrical education background, or candidates that might have had experience working on sites as an electricians mate or similar electrical foundation experience. They would also be open to consider candidates that haven’t had any electrical background, but are looking for a career opportunity with training and development.
 
The positions have a starting salary of £28,000 per annum + Corporate Benefits. They are based full time in Cheltenham working on a government site that they are responsible for the running and maintenance of.
 
Due to the site that this role is working on, it will be essential for all candidates to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance before they can start. This is one of the highest levels of security clearance in the UK and does take up to 18 months to be awarded. Due to the nature of this DV Security Clearance, we can only consider Sole British Nationals for these positions.
 
The process with this onboarding is for candidates to express their interest in the positions, secure a provisional job offer, then the company will undertake the DV Security Clearance for a start date in 18 months time.
