We are working with IAPS who have an exciting opportunity for a Partnership and Events Lead to join their team. You will join IAPS on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The Partnership and Events Lead will assist the Head of Infrastructure and Commerce in identifying and developing new commercial opportunities, managing relationships with exhibitors, tenants and partners, and ensuring that the conferences and courses run smoothly.

Main responsibilities as the Partnership and Events Lead:

  • Manage the relationship with commercial partners, including Premier Partners, exhibition sponsors and building tenants, pro-actively engaging to maintain positive relationships.
  • Explore new sources of income to maintain and grow commercial revenue including researching and developing potential exhibitors and partners.
  • Consider new commercial opportunities, including delivering contracts on behalf of authorities, sponsorship and advertising.
  • Promoting IAPS's development offer (courses and conferences) with the support of Marketing both internally to members and staff in their schools, and externally to the wider education sector.
  • Support the Head of Continuous Professional Development in the planning of logistical and contractual elements of conference and course venues, including all matters relating to exhibitors, audio visual, catering etc.
  • Support the Head of Infrastructure & Commerce in the on-the-ground delivery of conferences.
  • Oversee the production of printed, online and app-based materials relating to courses and conferences, ensuring high quality, on-brand outputs.
  • Maintain relevant data on the CRM relating to commercial partnerships.
  • Work with Finance to track income/expenditure from conferences and courses, assisting with accurate invoicing of commercial partners.
  • Undertake such other duties as are compatible with the nature of the post and as reasonably directed by their manager.

What we are looking for in the Partnership and Events Lead:

  • An affinity for the independent prep sector and an understanding of its features, needs and challenges.
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to form and maintain positive relationships with external partners whilst being able to challenge underperformance and achieve improved outcomes for IAPS.
  • A background in the management of contracts and supplier relationships, with demonstrable skills in achieving value for money and service improvement.
  • Experience of event management, with particular reference to exhibitors.
  • Commitment to excellence in all that they do, continuously seeking to improve IAPS's work.
