Part-time Social Media Officer

£21 - £23 per hour

Temporary role - 8 - 12 weeks

Part-time 19 hours per week - flexible on what days worked

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Social Media Officer on a temporary basis for around 8 - 12 weeks. The role of Social Media Officer is to supports the departments with ongoing social media scheduling, delivery, monitoring and engagement.

Your role will be key to building online presence and raising awareness, as well as driving engagement to public campaigns. You will be responsible for taking the l lead on creating and curating compelling evidence-based content for Social Media posts.

You will need to have previous of being employed in a Social Media role for a business or Charity and be adept at finding opportunities to reach broader audiences, to amplify messages, build relationships and engage in debates in innovative ways with opinion formers and influencers online.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Content creation and scheduling / channel management
  • Channel monitoring
  • Online community engagement / influencer outreach

Experience required:

  • Strong understanding and experience of social media platforms and emerging trends, best practices and algorithms
  • Skills for developing engaging and compelling content that emotionally connects with online audiences, raises awareness of an issue and moves people to take an action.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to
  • edit images and video (working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and Canva or similar applications is advantageous)
