We're currently working on the behalf of a well-established business looking for an experienced Part-time Senior Bookkeeper to join their friendly team. The successful candidate will take on all aspects of accouting including:

  • All aspects of sales ledger, invoicing, posting statements, undertaking credit control
  • All aspects of purchase ledger, posting invoices, payments to suppliers etc
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting
  • Quarterly VAT returns and submission to HMRC
  • Posting and submission of EC sales
  • Liaising with external payroll provider and processing PAYE
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet
  • Liaising with external Accountants

The company are ideally looking for someone to work circa 20 hours per week and can be flexible regarding how these are spread. There is opportunity to undertake some hours from home, however you will need to go in 1-2 days per week, so you will need to be in a commutable location. Previous experience with Sage would be highly beneficial, especially any experience with Sage 200, you will also need good Excel experience including Pivot tables.
