In collaboration with our client, we are seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join their provision. Role and School Details:
As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work within a supportive provision, providing crucial assistance to students with diverse learning needs. This part-time role will require you to work from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Job Description:

  • Support students with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance and small group support as directed by the SENCO and classroom teacher.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.

Candidate Required:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEND, either in a school setting or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students' diverse needs and abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or a related field (desirable but not essential).
