Part-time School Librarian
CloudStone Education are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join a school based in Wandsworth as a part-time School Librarian. As the School Librarian, you will play a crucial role in promoting literacy and a love for reading among students. You will manage the school library, curate diverse collections, and facilitate access to resources that support the curriculum and students' interests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the school library, including cataloging, shelving, and organising materials
- Assist students and staff in locating resources and conducting research
- Develop and implement engaging library programs and events to promote literacy
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages reading and lifelong learning
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a library or educational setting preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Passion for promoting literacy and supporting student learning
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Familiarity with library management systems and digital resources is advantageous
