Recruitment Coordinator / Resourcer

Contract: Fixed-term contract, minimum 6 months (view to end March 2025) with potential extension

MC Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator on a fixed-term contract basis. This role offers flexibility in hours, requiring at least 2 days per week during "office hours" between 9 am - 5 pm, with the possibility of flexible scheduling (e.g., 9:30 am - 3 pm).

Responsibilities:

- Marketing and advertising volunteer positions through various channels, including online platforms and in-person events.

- Organising and attending information days in local communities.

- Conducting business development-style calls and emails to engage local communities, businesses, and schools in volunteering opportunities.

- Contacting prospective volunteers, providing information, and managing registrations.

- Liaising with Family Hub Centres and the Council to identify suitable volunteers.

- Monitoring volunteers' 12-week training course progress and ensuring completion within the timeframe.

- Working to agreed deadlines and attending regular online and in-person meetings with council departments.

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

- Previous recruitment or employment type experience preferred. If you have any experience within the care or social care industry that would be an additional benefit. 

- Confidence as you will be meeting new people and addressing small groups.

- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn for promotional purposes would be helpful. 

- Basic proficiency in using systems such as Outlook, Excel, etc.

- Reliable with good timekeeping skills.

- Own transport is essential as the role requires travel to various locations throughout Kent (expenses paid). 

Other Details:

- The role offers full support within a small team environment.

- Flexibility to fit around your needs. We are open to this being some hours during the evening if it suits you, but ideally at least 2 days / 16 hours per week will need to be during the day.

- Salary negotiable based on experience and level of support needed.

- Immediate availability preferred, ideally within 1 month as project already underway. 

- Role requires year-round commitment, including summer holidays, with entitlement to paid annual leave and flexible options for working days etc... 

- MC Personnel's office is in Gillingham, Kent, and some office hours will be required for training and project completion.
