Part-Time Management Accountant

  • Salary: £35,600 p.a. pro-rata (£19.50 per hour)
  • Location: Shepherds Bush 
  • Job Type: Part-time (1 day a week, preferably Thursdays)

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant, ideally with exposure to a senior level, to join our team on a part-time basis for approximately the next 3 months. The role involves the preparation of end-of-year accounts and requires a good knowledge of SAGE 50 or the ability to quickly learn it, particularly for preparing and inputting journal entries. The candidate should also have experience in preparing VAT returns and be capable of performing a range of financial and accounting tasks as required.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Preparing end-of-year accounts and ensuring they are compliant with financial regulations and standards.
  • Utilising SAGE 50 for journal entries and other accounting functions.
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Performing a variety of financial and accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the organisation.
  • Working collaboratively with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, with some senior-level experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SAGE 50 or the ability to quickly learn and utilise the software effectively.
  • Experience in preparing VAT returns and understanding of VAT legislation.
  • Ability to perform a wide range of financial and accounting tasks.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work one day a week, preferably Thursdays.
