Head of Finance | Fast-Growing FMCG Service | London (Part-Time)

Harmonic is excited to be partnered exclusively with one of the UK's rapidly growing food & Beverage scale-ups in their search for a Part-Time Head of Finance to join their dynamic team. Despite their relatively short journey thus far, our client is dedicated to bringing the finest coffee experiences to offices across the capital and beyond. With a focus on growth and innovation, we're seeking a talented individual to join us on our journey.

About our client:

As the Head of Finance, you'll play a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing to the success of our operations through your expertise in accounting and financial management. Our client is a business with ambition, combined with a friendly collaborative culture. Due to continued growth 38% Year on year growth over the past 2 years, our client is looking to bring on a HOF who can help them continue to scale up. They have gained tremendous momentum, boasting innovative branding and establishing itself as a leader in the hyper-growth omnichannel sector. This well-rounded role involves elements of both management and financial accounting, ultimately helping our client improve efficiencies across our finance and business processes. This is part-time role (3 days per week) offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while enjoying flexibility in your schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle month-end and year-end processes, providing board commentary to the board.
  • Preparing technical accounting documents on complex matters
  • Identifying and improving existing financial processes to improve budgeting and forecasting, profit/loss and cash flow projections
  • Collaborating with other departments to implement clear improvements
  • Ensure well-documented finance processes with clear controls
  • Manage compliance reporting and regulatory needs such as HMRC, audit coordination and debt/loan management.

What our client would like to see (Essential):

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CA)
  • Experience working with Sage 200 and Xero
  • Experience within a product-based business, such as Food, Beverage, Fashion, Retail, or E-commerce.

What we Would Like to See (Non-Essential):

  • Experience in SME or fast-growth companies (FMCG, retail, hospitality, or manufacturing)
  • Track record of implementing best practices or enhancing systems/processes
  • Strong technical proficiency

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (Pro Rata) + Company Bonus
