We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Functional Skills Tutor to join our client's team. If you are enthusiastic about helping learners develop crucial skills for success, we want to hear from you!

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in helping learners of varying ages and backgrounds improve their English and Mathematics skills. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling our students to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive Functional Skills lessons in English and mathematics.
  • Assess and tailor teaching materials to meet the individual needs of learners.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and motivation.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to promote growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to continuously improve course content and delivery methods.
  • Keep up-to-date with curriculum changes and educational trends in Functional Skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications:
  • A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS).
  • A strong background in delivering Functional Skills English and mathematics.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations, including adults and young learners.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
