JOB TITLE:PART-TIME RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE /RECEPTIONIST

SALARY: £20.00 per hour

LOCATION: West End London

HOURS: Saturday - 10 am - 6 pm - (1 hour for lunch)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Saturday Retail Sales/Receptionist to work for a highly reputable and established Firm. Our client is a professional, collaborative and tightly-knit team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the office when working with a team.

Overall Purpose and Objective:

  • First point of contact for the company on both the phone and reception
  • Ensure smooth running of the office on a day-to-day
  • Carry out general administrative tasks, and liaise with clients, and update client details as necessary

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet customers and provide excellent customer service at the front end of the store
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Scan and bag items for customers.
  • Assist customers with locating products and answering inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organised front-end area.
  • Process returns and exchanges according to company policies
  • Providing refreshments and first-class hospitality
  • Diarising appointments as necessary
  • Primary responsibility for answering all telephone calls into the business, forwarding calls, and taking accurate messages as necessary.
  • Provide support to the senior management team.
  • Carrying out everyday office tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business. This includes filing, scanning, photocopying, managing mail, couriers, etc.
  • Manage overall running of the FOH itself, including responsibility for office maintenance and purchasing everyday items for the kitchen and other facilities.
  • Processing orders and payments via a PDQ machine
  • Ensuring that the company image is maintained to a high standard
  • Dealing with the incoming and outgoing posts, including special delivery, recorded delivery and booking couriers as and when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably retail, is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Cross-selling products experience desirable.
  • Full training is given on the products
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to prioritise and strong organisational skills.
  • Must be organised
  • Independent with initiative and strong motivational skills
  • The ability to work unsupervised and proactive in approach
