MacKenzie King are working exclusively with a growing SME in Ipswich in the recruitment of a part time Financial Controller. Working as part of the senior leadership team reporting directly into the Managing Director you will make a genuine commercial contribution to help drive their steady growth.

As well as delivering rigorous financial control, the Financial Controller will equip the business to deliver financial improvements.

Your duties will include:

  • Preparation of Monthly Board Packs and other financial and business information
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Preparation of annual Financial Statements and information for the corporation tax return and dealing with auditors
  • Overseeing the work of the HR and Office Administrator who does the daily banking, credit control, billing and running of the purchase ledger
  • Preparation of annual Business Forecast
  • Cash flow management
  • Processing monthly payrolls and HMRC returns
  • Monthly billing of projects and ad hoc billing
  • All aspects of HR such as handling confidential staff matters and preparing contracts
  • Office Management tasks, including managing corporate and health insurance policies and electricity and mobile phone contracts

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant that is personable and able to enage with individuals both internally and externally.
