A leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improvement and the public, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join the team on a part time (3 day a week) basis.

Position: Part Time Finance Director

Location: South Wales (Hybrid - 1 day a week in office)

Role Overview: As the Finance Director (FD), you will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and sustainability of the organisation. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning initiatives. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organisation's mission and long-term goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Manage financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to financial operations.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to drive performance and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified - CIMA, ACA. ACCA.
  • Experience in financial management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning, budget management, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse team.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the charity.
