Part Time Finance Director Renewable Energy

A highly innovative Renewable Energy business with a pioneering technology have recently been through Series A funding and will be moving to Series B early in 2024.

The business are looking for their first permanent FD, working on a part time basis, 4 days per week, building out the team as they advance through a period of significant growth. The role will involve advising of outsourced solutions to transactional finance, developing systems, working with the CEO on strategic direction of growth, including debt versus equity etc, and also looking at different revenue models.

They company are revenue generating, with profit aimed from 2024, currently in significant scale up.

The Role - (4 days per week)

• Ownership of accounting process for the company - building the accounting team
• Attending board meetings and reporting into Chief Exec/MD
• Financial analysis with particular focus on cash flow
• Ownership of corporate finance - particularly with regards to advancing to series B funding.
• Build relationship with senior stakeholders, presenting financial information to the board
• Ongoing process improvement and implementation
• Building banking relationships and growing business operations

The Candidate

• A qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Senior level experience
• Exposure to building banking relationships and broad investment strategies
• Experience with raising finance
• Desire to work in growing business within the BioTech sector
• Happy to work in tech type culture

The opportunity will ideally be for 4 days per week, reporting to the Chief Exec/MD. There is flexibility as to whether that is done as reduced hours over 4/5 days or 3/4 full days
